In early June 2026, at the Beijing International Garment Supply Chain Expo, a denim industrial cluster from the Pearl River Delta caught the industry's attention with a collective exhibition. The Jun'an denim cluster from Shunde, long known for OEM and export, is now attempting to open new channels in the domestic market using a cluster brand strategy.
Exhibition Focus: From Individual to Collective
From June 3 to 5, the Shunde District Textile and Garment Association led four companies to participate in the Beijing expo, covering the entire chain from fabric R&D to garment production. Zhixing Textile, Shangbo Garment, Liangwang Garment, and Han'erfei Garment each had distinct focuses, forming the first northward image of the Jun'an denim cluster.
This move was not improvised. Jun'an denim, as a traditional advantageous industry in Shunde, has long relied on foreign trade orders and OEM production. The collective exhibition under the cluster name signals the industry's growing awareness of branding and channel expansion. At the expo, Zhixing Textile showcased zero-carbon Tencel denim and washable fade-resistant colored denim, directly targeting the consumer market's demand for sustainable fashion.
Product Differentiation: Divergent Strategies in Fabric and Garment
From the product structure of the exhibitors, a clear division has formed within the Jun'an denim cluster. Zhixing Textile, a national green factory and specialized new enterprise, focuses on high-end denim fabrics, including mercerized, stretch mercerized, colored, Tencel, resin, and four-way stretch fabrics. These categories cover multiple levels from basic to functional, showing deep investment in R&D.
On the garment side, the market positioning is more segmented. Shangbo Garment focuses on exquisite craftsmanship for brand clients; Liangwang Garment's ultra-stretch yoga jeans target the athleisure niche; Han'erfei Garment specializes in fashionable women's denim with attention to style and fabric. This differentiation enables the cluster to adapt to diverse procurement needs.
Industry Signal: Collective Transformation of Denim Belts
Jun'an denim's northward move reflects structural changes in China's denim industrial belts. Traditional foreign trade orders face rising costs and demand volatility, pushing companies to shift to domestic sales and branding. Meanwhile, stricter environmental regulations and consumer preference for sustainability drive R&D in zero-carbon and biodegradable areas.
Compared with other denim regions like Shaoxing or Changzhou, Jun'an may not lead in scale, but its breakthroughs in eco-friendly and functional denim could become a competitive edge. The zero-carbon Tencel and washable fade-resistant technologies displayed by Zhixing Textile exemplify this strategy.
For buyers, the cluster's collective appearance means more centralized supply chain resources. Instead of contacting fabric mills and garment factories separately, they can now achieve one-stop sourcing through the association or cluster platform, reducing trial costs. The internal division also enables flexible orders with small batches and multiple varieties.
