Party building is transforming from a spiritual benchmark into industrial competitiveness. In the recently announced list of national outstanding Communist Party members and advanced grassroots party organizations, the textile sector saw two individuals and seven collectives honored. These cases reveal a clear trend: deep integration of party building with production operations is becoming an invisible engine for overcoming technical barriers, accelerating global deployment, and driving green transformation.
From Breaking Monopolies to Global Capacity Leadership
Technological breakthroughs are the most prominent commonality among the honored collectives. The Party Committee of Hengli Petrochemical (Dalian) Co., Ltd. completed a 20 million-ton-per-year refining and chemical integration project in 19 months, breaking foreign monopolies; built the world's largest 1.5 million-ton-per-year ethylene project in 13 months, and simultaneously established the world's largest PTA base. This means China now holds absolute capacity advantages in upstream petrochemical fiber raw materials, directly impacting the raw material procurement costs and supply chain security of downstream fabric companies.
The Party Committee of Jilin Carbon Valley Carbon Fiber Co., Ltd. pushed domestic carbon fiber into the global first tier, with current precursor capacity reaching 190,000 tons, making it the world's largest carbon fiber precursor producer. Carbon fiber is a core raw material for high-value-added textile composites such as aerospace and wind turbine blades. Capacity leadership signifies a substantial increase in China's voice in this strategic fiber field.
Industrial Chain Depth and Green Transformation
The honored cases also reflect dual efforts in industrial chain integration and green manufacturing. The Party Committee of Changzhou Hualida Garment Group Co., Ltd. demonstrated a leap from imported fabrics to an integrated industrial chain: from learning airbag production in Japan in 2008 to achieving full-chain autonomous production covering fabric weaving, coating, airbag sewing, and folding. Its small, lightweight airbag products have entered the domestic new energy vehicle market, directly benefiting from surging NEV sales. Meanwhile, Hualida has responded to the Belt and Road Initiative by deploying five factories with 15,000 employees in Vietnam, with domestic and overseas bases cooperating to accelerate its global supply chain layout.
On the environmental front, Hengli Petrochemical pioneered 'embedded wastewater treatment' technology, achieving stable COD levels below 15 mg/L and full reclaimed water reuse, earning the title of national 'Green Factory.' This technical path provides a replicable emission reduction model for the high-water-consumption, high-emission dyeing and chemical fiber industries. For buyers, choosing such green-certified suppliers not only mitigates environmental compliance risks but also offers carbon tariff advantages in export markets.
Talent Pipeline and Innovation Conversion
The catalytic effect of party building on talent development is clearly visible in the data. At Hengli, 83.3% of senior executives are party members, and the company has eliminated 'non-party member work groups' for five consecutive years; in the past three years, 75% of patent inventions were led by party members or party applicants. At Suzhou Inovance Technology Co., Ltd., 62% of party members hold master's degrees, and 91% are under 40, forming a typical 'young, high-knowledge' party organization. This talent structure directly supports the company's leading position in industrial automation control, providing a technical foundation for intelligent upgrades of textile equipment.
From a grassroots perspective, Mi Xuemei of Zhongshan Xiashi World Clothing Co., Ltd., as a national outstanding Communist Party member, has conducted over 100 lectures, promoting the transformation of industrial workers into technical and knowledge-based types. This skills training mechanism has practical significance in alleviating the current recruitment and retention difficulties in the textile industry.
