In late June and early July 2025, the Chinese textile industry witnessed a concentrated wave of Party-building activities. Over a dozen leading enterprises including Shenghong Holding Group, Erdos Group, Weiqiao Pioneering Group, Hengli Group, Tongkun Group, Dasheng Group, Hongdou Group, Dali Silk, Anhui Huamao, and Yueda Textile celebrated the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China through award ceremonies, study tours, themed lectures, choral performances, and on-site education. This is not merely a political ritual. Behind these activities lies a clear trajectory: Party building is evolving from a traditional 'political task' into an integral part of corporate governance. Shenghong Party Secretary Miao Hangen's 'Four Integrations'—combining Party building with business, management system optimization, work style improvement, and talent development—can be seen as a modern enterprise management upgrade framework. Dasheng Group's case offers historical depth. The company not only celebrated the Party's anniversary but also marked 100 years since the founding of the Nantong Independent Party Branch in its own cotton mill. A century ago, the red flame was lit in a textile workshop; today, Dasheng links Party-building results with 'project-based leadership' initiatives and releases annual key projects. This means Party building is now incorporated into KPI-style project management, not just year-end report slides. Erdos Group's data is noteworthy: 13 Party committees, 8 general branches, 92 branches, and 1,956 members form a comprehensive red organizational network. Thirteen grassroots branches were recognized as 'fortress branches' at the city level, and the PVC company's innovation team won the Inner Mongolia Youth May Fourth Medal. These honors demonstrate a quantifiable positive correlation between Party-building assessment and business innovation outcomes. Tongkun Group's approach highlights 'spiritual asset' inheritance. The group sent over 650 Party members to Zunyi, Guizhou, for a red study tour, with top executives Chen Shiliang, Xu Jinxiang, and Chen Lei participating throughout. Tongkun likens its corporate spirit of 'unity, hard work, pragmatism, and innovation' to the Long March spirit, emphasizing that 'no matter how difficult the road, as long as people are united and steps are steady, we can get through.' In the current environment of overcapacity and margin pressure in the chemical fiber industry, such morale-building has practical management value in stabilizing team spirit and reducing internal friction costs. For buyers and foreign trade companies, these activities are not irrelevant. The signals behind them deserve attention. First, governance stability of leading enterprises is enhanced. The deep integration of Party building with management implies more institutionalized decision-making, compliance, and talent pipelines. For buyers, this means lower supply chain disruption risks, especially for long-term orders. Second, green transition is linked to Party building. Companies like Shenghong and Hengli have mentioned 'green transformation' and 'technological innovation' in their Party-building deployments, indicating that policy directions are being transmitted downward through Party channels. Foreign trade companies cooperating with these suppliers may find higher cooperation in environmental compliance and ESG certification, helping to address green barriers in markets like the EU. Third, regional industrial belt stability is reinforced. In traditional textile belts like Nantong (Dasheng), Yancheng (Yueda), and Anqing (Anhua Mao), Party-building activities strengthen grassroots governance. For foreign trade companies sourcing or processing in these regions, soft environments such as labor relations and policy implementation efficiency may be more favorable.
