On July 1, 2025, the celebration of the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China honored outstanding Communist Party members, Party affairs workers, and advanced grassroots Party organizations. In the textile sector, two individuals and seven collectives were recognized, representing pioneers in technological innovation, industrial chain collaboration, and green transformation.

Party Building Drives Technological Breakthroughs

Hengli Petrochemical (Dalian) Co., Ltd. Party Committee is a notable example. Guided by the "Silk Road Pioneer" Party brand, the company completed a 20 million ton/year refining and chemical integration project in 19 months at the Changxing Island Industrial Park, breaking foreign monopolies. It also built the world's largest 1.5 million ton/year ethylene project in 13 months, significantly reducing import dependence. Simultaneously, Hengli established the world's largest PTA base and pioneered "embedded wastewater treatment" technology, achieving stable COD levels below 15mg/L and full water reuse, earning the title of national "Green Factory."

Behind these achievements lies deep integration of organizational construction and production operations. For five consecutive years, Hengli's Party Committee has eliminated "non-Party member work shifts," with 83.3% of senior management being Party members. Through "Party Member Pioneer Posts" and the "Double Cultivation and Double Promotion" project, over 100 Party members have become technical leaders, contributing to 208 adopted "golden ideas" in three years and 75% of patents led by Party members and activists.

Traditional Garment Companies Go Global

Changzhou Hualida Garment Group Co., Ltd. Party Committee showcases how traditional garment enterprises can achieve transformation. Hualida's airbag production line produces 130,000 finished units daily, shifting from imported fabrics to an integrated chain covering weaving, coating, sewing, and folding. Its small, lightweight airbag products are popular in the domestic new energy vehicle market.

Hualida's global expansion is equally impressive. In ten years of responding to the Belt and Road Initiative, it has established five factories in Vietnam with 15,000 employees. The company is now targeting sales of 10 billion yuan this year, driven by its "Ordinary People Party Building" approach that boosts morale among 25,000 employees.

High-Education Party Organizations Lead Automation

Suzhou Huichuan Technology Co., Ltd. Party Committee represents a "young, high-education" model: 62% of Party members hold master's degrees, 95% have bachelor's degrees or above, and 91% are under 40. As a leader in industrial automation, Huichuan uses a "Party-Enterprise Three Integration" concept and a "Red Engineer" training system to drive innovation.

This model is significant for textiles as the industry shifts toward smart manufacturing. The role of young, highly educated Party members in overcoming technological bottlenecks offers a replicable blueprint for industrial automation upgrades.

Grassroots Party Members Bridge Skills Gap

Mi Xuemei, a Party branch committee member at Zhongshan Xiashi Family Garments, focuses on skill transformation for industrial workers. Facing automation, she organizes training to help colleagues upgrade skills and transition to technical roles. As a National People's Congress deputy, she has delivered over 100 lectures, bringing policy to factory floors.

Mi's work highlights a critical issue: how to help workers adapt to rising automation. Her practice provides a replicable path through Party member-led mentorship and upskilling.

Practical Recommendations

For Buyers - Prioritize suppliers with "Party Member Pioneer Posts" or similar Party-building brands, which often indicate more reliable technical stability and delivery. - For high-end categories like carbon fiber or automation, check the proportion of Party-member technical staff, as this correlates with R&D investment and patent output. - When sourcing in Southeast Asia, consider companies with overseas Party branches, as they tend to have better cross-border compliance and labor management.

For Foreign Trade Enterprises - Learn from Hualida's Belt and Road model: when setting up factories in cost-advantage regions like Vietnam, establish Party organizations simultaneously to enhance employee cohesion and management efficiency. - Apply the "Double Cultivation and Double Promotion" mechanism (cultivate Party members into key personnel and key personnel into Party members) to overseas teams to address cultural integration and talent retention. - Leverage national "Green Factory" certifications (like Hengli's) as environmental credentials for exports, meeting Western buyers' carbon footprint scrutiny.
