In late June 2025, more than a dozen leading textile enterprises—including Shenghong, Weiqiao, Hengli, Erdos, Dasheng, Hongdou, Tongkun, Dali Silk, Anhui Huamao, and Yueda Textile—held intensive events to celebrate the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. This is not a simple political ritual but a signal that the industry is collectively shifting party building from formality to a management tool.
Party Building: From Soft Power to Hard Management
Based on publicly available information, the focus of enterprise party building activities has shifted from pure ideological education to deep integration with business management. At Shenghong Holding Group, party secretary Miao Hangen proposed a 'four-combination' direction for party building work, linking it directly to business direction, management system optimization, style construction, and talent development. This means party building is becoming an execution tool for corporate strategy rather than an isolated political task.
Erdos Group's data is particularly telling: 13 party committees, 8 general party branches, 92 party branches, and 1,956 party members form a red organizational network covering the entire group. Dasheng Group chose to release its annual key projects on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Nantong Independent Party Branch, directly linking party building results with production and operation goals. Hongdou Group party secretary Zhou Haijiang converted the four dimensions of Yan'an Spirit into specific requirements for enterprise development stance, standards, original intention, and style.
Differentiated Paths Across Industrial Clusters
Enterprises from different industrial clusters showed distinct regional and industrial characteristics in their party building themes. Dasheng Group, a century-old factory founded by Zhang Jian, emphasized the era's questionnaire of 'inheritance' and 'development,' binding Zhang Jian's entrepreneurial spirit with red genes, craftsmanship, and patriotism. Tongkun Group chose red study tours, organizing over 650 party members to visit Zunyi and retrace the Long March, comparing Tongkun's spirit of 'unity, hard work, pragmatism, and innovation' with the Long March spirit, seeking methods to navigate business cycles from history.
Dali Silk's party building activities were more industry-specific. The company used silk as a carrier to create red silk cultural and creative products, combining the spirit of spring silkworm dedication with industrial development. This integration of products with party building themes accomplished both political tasks and brand marketing.
Potential Impact on Supply Chains and Buyers
The intensification of party building activities is beginning to impact the textile supply chain. For buyers, the depth of an enterprise's party building often indicates the standardization of its management system and the stability of its talent pool. Hengli Group recognized 'party member model posts' and 'party member pioneer posts' during its event, while Anhui Huamao Group emphasized a 'virtue-first' talent selection orientation. These measures reflect, to some extent, the level of corporate governance and talent reserve quality.
From a foreign trade perspective, as European and American markets increasingly focus on supply chain compliance and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), incorporating party building into management systems could serve as a hidden advantage when addressing international clients' scrutiny of labor rights and corporate governance. Although party building does not fully align with international ESG standards, its practical effects on employee cohesion, safety production, and integrity management can indeed enhance operational stability.
