The textile industry has recently received a high-profile recognition. At the conference celebrating the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, seven collectives and individuals from the textile field were awarded national honors. This list reflects the industry's new coordinates in technological breakthroughs, green manufacturing, and global expansion.
Portrait of Awardees: From Traditional Manufacturing to Frontier Materials
The recognition list covers multiple key segments of the industrial chain. Zhang Bo, chairman of Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group, was awarded "National Outstanding Communist Party Member." The Party committees of Hengli Petrochemical (Dalian) Co., Ltd., and Jilin Carbon Valley Carbon Fiber Co., Ltd., along with four other grassroots Party organizations, were awarded "National Advanced Grassroots Party Organization."
Hengli Petrochemical completed a 20-million-ton/year refining and chemical integration project in the Changxing Island Industrial Park in just 19 months, breaking foreign monopolies. It also built the world's largest 1.5-million-ton/year ethylene project in 13 months and simultaneously established the world's largest PTA base. These figures indicate that the award-winning enterprises are not just large in scale but also set benchmarks in key technological breakthroughs. Jilin Carbon Valley, as the world's largest carbon fiber precursor producer, has a current precursor capacity of 190,000 tons, pushing domestic carbon fiber into the global first tier.
Industrial Impact: How Party Building Translates into Productivity
The award cases reveal a commonality: deep integration of Party building with production and operations. Through "Party Member Pioneer Posts" and the "Double Training and Double Promotion" project, Hengli Petrochemical has nurtured over 100 Party members as technical leaders, adopting 208 innovative "golden ideas" in the past three years, with Party members and applicants leading 75% of patent inventions.
Changzhou Hualida Garment Group is a model for traditional garment enterprises' transformation. Its airbag production line produces 130,000 units daily, achieving full-chain self-production from imported fabrics to independent manufacturing, and its products are widely welcomed by the domestic new energy vehicle market. Meanwhile, Hualida has responded to the "Belt and Road" initiative for ten years, establishing five factories in Vietnam with 15,000 employees, accelerating the global industrial chain layout through domestic and international base collaboration.
Suzhou Inovance Technology, a leader in industrial automation, has a Party member team where 62% hold master's degrees, 95% have bachelor's degrees or above, and 91% are under 40. This "young and high-knowledge" structure enables it to continuously drive autonomy in industrial control.
