When the spotlight of the 105th anniversary ceremony shone on 149 national outstanding Communist Party members and 399 advanced grassroots Party organizations, six corporate Party committees and one individual representative from the textile industry stood out. This is not a simple honor but a concentrated review of how Party building translates into actual productivity over the past five years of industrial upgrading.
Background
Among the awardees, Zhang Bo (Chairman of Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group) and Mi Xuemei (Customer Service Director of Zhongshan Xiahushi Apparel) represent individuals; Hengli Petrochemical, Jilin Carbon Valley, Suzhou Inovance, Wuxi Guolian, Changzhou Hualida Garment, Jiangsu Yueda Textile, and Weihai Tuozhan Fiber represent collective Party committees. These names epitomize the textile industry's transformation from traditional manufacturing to high-end, intelligent, and green development.
Mi Xuemei's journey from a Gansu mountain village to Zhongshan reflects the typical path of industrial workers evolving into technical talent. She has conducted over 100 lectures, bringing the spirit of the Two Sessions into workshops, directly addressing how grassroots Party organizations in new economic entities stabilize employment and upgrade skills.
Industrial Impact
The case of Hengli Petrochemical's Party committee is most convincing: at the Changxing Island industrial park, a 20 million-ton/year refining and chemical integration project was completed in 19 months, the world's largest 1.5 million-ton/year ethylene project in 13 months, and the world's largest PTA base was built simultaneously. Behind these numbers is the organizational efficiency driven by the "Silk Road Pioneer" Party brand—83.3% of senior executives are Party members, 75% of patents are led by Party members, and 208 "golden ideas" were adopted in the past three years. This means Party building is not empty talk but directly shortens project cycles and reduces import dependence.
Jilin Carbon Valley's Party committee focuses on strategic emerging industries. Its precursor fiber capacity has reached 190,000 tons, making it the world's largest carbon fiber precursor producer. This achievement is inseparable from integrating Party building into independent innovation, marking that domestic carbon fiber has entered the global first tier, providing critical support for downstream high-end applications like aerospace and wind power blades.
Changzhou Hualida Garment's case offers a global perspective. Its airbag production line produces 130,000 finished units daily, and the integrated chain from imported fabric to weaving, coating, sewing, and folding directly reduces reliance on external suppliers. More importantly, in ten years of responding to the Belt and Road Initiative, it has five factories in Vietnam with 15,000 employees, coordinating domestic and overseas bases to accelerate global industrial chain layout. In 2024, the group is targeting "10 billion sales." This proves that positive Party energy can be transformed into sustained corporate momentum, especially in labor-intensive industries shifting to Southeast Asia, where organizational building helps retain talent and improve efficiency.
