The 2025 Top Ten Textile Innovation Products list was recently released in Beijing, covering 54 products from material R&D to green low-carbon fields. This number reflects the industry's deep response to the 'Three Products' strategy—shifting from single-point breakthroughs to systematic industrial upgrading.
Background
The Top Ten Textile Innovation Products initiative is commissioned by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and led by the China Textile Information Center and the Textile Product Development Center. The 2026 application has opened, with a deadline of July 31. The selection covers ten categories: fashion trends, intangible cultural heritage, digital technology, sports function, comfort function, maternal and infant, elderly, safety protection, health and hygiene, and green low-carbon products, spanning apparel, home textiles, and industrial textiles.
The 2025 list was announced at the '2026 Global Digital Economy Conference' in Beijing. The 54 selected products include both industry leaders and small enterprises, showcasing a tiered innovation landscape.
Industry Impact
In terms of technological breakthroughs, several benchmark products have achieved mass production. Machine-washable wool fabric solves the care inconvenience of traditional wool, nano waterproof composite fabrics expand functional textile boundaries, and waterless dyeing directly addresses the high pollution problem of the dyeing industry. More notably, lead-free nuclear radiation protective suits and domestic artificial blood vessels signal that high-end specialty materials are breaking foreign monopolies, strengthening the industry's supply chain security.
In the cultural innovation track, traditional intangible cultural heritage such as tie-dye, Manchu embroidery, Shu brocade, and Dunhuang tapestry are entering the mass market through modern design and industrial production. This means the textile industry is no longer just a manufacturing process but a carrier of cultural heritage. For buyers, these products offer differentiation and brand premium potential.
In the green track, eco-friendly materials like Lyocell and recycled fibers are widely used, along with low-carbon processes such as dope dyeing, carbon-neutral apparel, formaldehyde-removing wall fabrics, and lightweight aviation carpets. These provide replicable samples for full-cycle carbon reduction. Green transformation is now a commercially viable path with concrete product support.
In the livelihood track, supply for specific groups like maternal, infant, elderly, and outdoor sports is systematically improved through ergonomic optimization and enhanced comfort and safety. Smart home textiles like intelligent sleep and massage neck pillows integrate sensor and big data technologies, pushing traditional textile manufacturing toward smart consumer industries.
On the policy front, regions like Liaoning, Dongguan, and Yancheng have set up special reward funds, while Fujian has established a regular selection mechanism for quality textile new products. Multiple policy forces are activating regional innovation momentum. Selected enterprises can also be prioritized for inclusion in the China Famous Consumer Products cultivation system.
