The range covers single jersey, fleece, interlock, terry, 2×1 rib, and pique — the very constructions that dominate high-volume everyday apparel orders from global brands.
The Industry Logic Behind the Move
This is not a simple product line extension. From an industry perspective, it answers a long-standing question for sourcing teams: can recycled cotton maintain quality and cost balance in mass production? Recover supplies certified recycled fiber, while Ünteks converts it into greige fabric that meets industrial bulk standards. Their collaboration signals that recycled cotton is moving from a niche eco-selling point to a mainstream supply chain staple.
Turkey, the world's third-largest textile exporter, has its circular knit clusters — especially around Istanbul and Bursa — now adopting recycled content at a pace that will directly influence European fast fashion buying lists. What This Means for Buyers
For European brand houses that regularly source from Turkey, this partnership reduces the so-called "green premium." Traditionally, organic or recycled cotton fabrics cost 15% to 30% more than conventional cotton, with unstable supply.
