This results in recycled cotton yarn costing 30% or more than virgin yarn. The collaboration between Denim Deal and World Collective essentially builds a demand-side alliance—aggregating multiple brands' needs for recycled denim fabric into a large-scale order pool.
This model directly changes mill scheduling. When order volumes reach thousands of tons, spinning mills can dedicate lines to recycled yarn, reducing changeover waste; weaving mills can lock in machine time, spreading fixed costs.
