When plush fabrics evolve from mere thermal materials into carriers of touch, function and sustainability, the rules of competition in the textile industry are being rewritten. From August 25 to 27, 2026, the Intertextile Autumn/Winter Fair was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. Lianyungang Yingyou Xinlicheng Textile Technology Co., Ltd., operating a 200,000-tonne high-quality plush production base, unveiled eight series and over a hundred new products. This move signals a clear shift in the plush fabric sector from price competition to technology intensity.
Background
At booth 7.1 E21, eight series were showcased: faux rex rabbit fur, high-low mink toy, ribbed, upgraded double-sided rabbit fur, eco-embossed velvet, spandex rabbit fur, extra-wide multi-layer jacquard velvet, and cross-border warm jade velvet. The faux rex rabbit fur series uses multi-lobe/multi-groove high-profile FDY polyester filaments, precisely replicating the fine texture and luster of natural rex rabbit fur through CNC weaving and finishing, while solving shedding and wrinkling issues. The high-low mink series mimics natural mink texture with upright guard hairs and dense underfur, and an AI-enabled interactive toy version was displayed.
The ribbed series covers a full range from 2.5 cm to 11 cm, using AB yarns with matte, semi-matte and bright variations to create rich luster. The upgraded double-sided rabbit fur (Arctic mink) offers gram weights from 250g to 900g, with an overhauled process to prevent shedding and wrinkles. Eco-embossed velvet uses a multifunctional eco-friendly resist agent instead of traditional dyeing and discharge methods, integrated with the company's proprietary flash dyeing technology for sustainable mass production. The spandex rabbit fur printing series has become this year's hit due to its high elasticity and comfort. The extra-wide jacquard velvet targets high-end home and commercial spaces, while cross-border warm jade velvet combines DTY and FDY to achieve a multi-quality effect.
Industry Impact
The concentrated release of these new products reflects two major transformations in the plush fabric industry. First, simulation technology has advanced from visual similarity to functional superiority. The rex rabbit and mink series not only approach natural fur in appearance but also solve shedding and wrinkling through fiber design and finishing, meaning buyers can now prioritize durability and care convenience without sacrificing aesthetics.
Second, green production has moved from concept to quantifiable processes. The eco-embossed velvet's resist agent technology replaces high-pollution traditional discharge printing, while flash dyeing significantly reduces energy and wastewater. These innovations align with the company's certifications as a national green factory, winner of the China Textile Industry Federation Science and Technology Progress Award, and Jiangsu provincial smart factory. For downstream brands, adopting such fabrics strengthens environmental compliance and ESG reporting.
From a supply chain perspective, Yingyou Xinlicheng leverages its 200,000-tonne capacity and integrated value chain—from raw materials to weaving, dyeing and finishing—to compress the time from R&D to mass production. The full specification coverage of the ribbed series and the wide gram-range of double-sided rabbit fur signal a shift from standardized purchasing to customized matching. For traders, this flexible supply capability means lower inventory risk and faster market response.
