This is not a mere raw material trial but a systemic response to brands' growing pressure to reduce Scope 3 emissions.
Traditional cotton cultivation carries a heavy environmental burden—high water consumption, pesticide use, and land degradation. Avalo's technology does not rely on genetic modification; instead, it accelerates conventional breeding to select cotton varieties that require significantly less water and fertilizer under normal growing conditions. This 'subtraction-based' innovation aligns perfectly with brand preferences for 'natural solutions'—reducing environmental impact while avoiding consumer concerns over genetically engineered crops.
From Lab to Loom: The Scaling Challenge
Advance Denim's commitment lies in the word 'scale.' In recent years, eco-friendly cotton has mostly appeared in small-batch, high-premium collections without affecting mainstream production volumes.
